昨年10月26日、令和6年度の創域会大会が実施されました(https://souiki-kai.net/2024/11/14/soukai2024-2/)。実行委員を仰せつかり、ワーキンググループの先生方とともに準備を進めましたので、個人的な感想を書きたいと思います。
今回の大会を通じて、創域会の重要な役割を改めて実感しました。現役学生、OB/OG、教員が一堂に会し、さまざまな話題を共有しました。特に、憩で行われた懇親会では、世代を超えた交流を通じて多くの学びや気づきが得られました。新領域という環境で学んだ方々と再会し、食事を共にしながら、それぞれの歩みや現在の活動について語り合う時間が非常に貴重でした。現在は異なるフィールドで活躍されている方々ですが、新領域で培った共通の価値観や誇りを根底に持っていることを改めて確認することができました。
現役学生の皆さんは、自身の研究や活動、将来のビジョンについて熱心に語り、エネルギーに満ちた姿が印象的でした。創域会に期待する今後の活動についても多くの示唆を得ることができ、また初心に立ち返る良い機会にもなりました。一方で、私たちOB/OGがこれまでの経験や社会での実践を伝えることで、彼らの進路選択や挑戦に対する新たな視点や可能性を提供できたのではないかと思います。
創域会は単なる思い出話の場ではなく、現役生とOB/OGが互いに刺激を与え合い、未来を切り拓くために欠かせない存在です。創域会員としてのアイデンティティを共有し、時代を超えて築かれるネットワークの大切さを再認識しました。今後もこうした交流の場を通じて、創域会のさらなる発展に寄与していきたいと思います。

Last year on October 26th, the Souiki-kai conference of Reiwa year 6 (2024) was held. Having the honor of serving as an organizing committee member and having worked with fellow professors to prepare for the event, I would like to share some thoughts about my experience.
Through the conference, I once again keenly felt the important role played by Souiki-kai. Current students, alumni, and faculty members gathered in one place to share their thoughts on a variety of topics. In particular, the networking event held at Ikoi provided a valuable opportunity for exchanges overcoming generational barriers, where I gained many insights and realizations. For everyone who once studied under the Frontier Sciences banner, this opportunity to reunite, and while sharing a meal, share our respective journeys and current endeavors, was an invaluable experience. Although many are now active in different fields, I was able to discern that we share a common set of values and a sense of pride nurtured through our time at Frontier Sciences.
The current students spoke passionately about their research, activities, and future visions, leaving strong impressions with their energetic demeanor. I also gained valuable insights into expectations for future activities of Souiki-kai, which was a great opportunity to revisit my original motivations for the undertaking. From the other side, by sharing with them our experiences and practical knowledge gained from society, we as alumni were hopefully able to provide them with new perspectives and possibilities for their career selection and undertaking.
Souiki-kai is not just a place for reminiscing about the past; it is an essential platform where current students and alumni inspire each other and shape the future. Through our shared identity as Souiki-kai members, I am recognizing again the importance of this epoch-transcending network that has been established. Moving forward, I hope to continue contributing to the growth of Souiki-kai through these meaningful exchanges.
